Rodos Star Hotel - Afantou

Consider arriving early for quieter breakfasts. After 10, it gets crowded, especially at the buffet.

The food was well presented, drinks were cold. It was based in nice building in a gorgeous and great location, at the top of a hill. What's more, it was near public transport, the restaurant and Rodos Star for the first time in May 2017.

Stunning, gorgeous location in Afantou, not far from the centre of the village and the airport. Neat, newly renovated unit with fresh towels, and incredible staff.

Blimey, the staff here are a proper treasure, always smiling and made us feel like family. The tasty food was a winner, especially the gyros! But that hill back to the hotel? A right trek, innit!

A good experience marked by excellent food choices, particularly the locally caught fish. The staff's friendly demeanor and willingness to help added to the warm atmosphere. The location's hillside position proved challenging, especially when navigating with a stroller. The cold pool temperatures and the absence of water in the rooms detracted from the comfort of our visit.

The lack of communication from the hotel was infuriating. We contacted them before our arrival about potential wildfires, and they completely ignored our concerns. This level of negligence in guest communication is unacceptable, especially when so many hotels are willing to respond and assist.

The fine coast views from my room were amazing, and the variety of meals offered at every lunch and dinner, particularly the lovely gyros, was good. The staff were cute.

the air conditioner wasn't working properly.

Clean rooms with great views. Staff helpful and smiling. Lively atmosphere with themed dinner nights. The hill is quite steep, so expect a workout when returning to the hotel.

The culinary delights were off the charts, especially the delicious Greek salads served daily that hit the spot! We loved the sunbeds by the pool, soaking up the rays with drinks that were lush was pure bliss. Plus, it was heartwarming how the staff remembered our little girl's drinks and always checked in on us with friendly chats.

We had a hiccup with the room fan that refused to cooperate, forcing us to leave the balcony door open for some fresh air.

The staff here were genuinely friendly, always making an effort to learn our names and engage with us . Each evening, we enjoyed the lively atmosphere at the bar, with local performers adding to the experience. The family room we stayed in offered a good garden view.

The uphill location made it a challenge to return to the hotel, especially with a stroller.

The Rodos Star Hotel is an absolute gem! Especially the friendly owners. The pool area was perfect, and the food was delicious with a great variety. Don't miss out on the fantastic drinks at the pool bar, they really enhanced our experience.

This place is located in a quiet and new area, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV, and climate control in the brand-new rooms.

The rooms here are tidy, with spotless beds.

The friendliness of the staff, good manageress, amazing food, modern and clean rooms, intimate atmosphere.
